Sharon Attipoe-Dorcoo, PhD, President/CEO

Dr. Sharon Attipoe Dorcoo is the CEO and President of Northern Neck Health, Inc. (N2Health), a rural health equity organization dedicated to improving health outcomes by strengthening community based health infrastructure. She leads N2Health’s strategic direction and oversees programs that expand access to care, advance community health education, and generate actionable research and evaluation to inform local and regional decision making.

With extensive experience supporting federal, philanthropic, and community health initiatives, Dr. Attipoe-Dorcoo specializes in translating complex data, stories, and lived experience into clear, measurable strategies that improve health systems. Her work centers on equity, dignity, and community voice, ensuring that rural residents have the resources and support needed to thrive.

She works closely with the Board to strengthen organizational sustainability, deepen regional partnerships, and guide N2Health’s long term vision. Her approach centers on aligning people, data, and resources so that rural residents across the Northern Neck can access high quality, comprehensive care close to home.

Karla Patterson, Program Officer

Karla Patterson is Portland native, with a deep-rooted connection and a passion for community service. She’s dedicated to making a positive impact. Her experience as a pre-med student and a licensed realtor allows her to combine empathy and expertise to help those in need.

Minister Kathy Byrd, Outreach Specialist

Minister Kathy Byrd is passionate about mental health and doing whatever she can to support others. She holds certification in First Aid for Adult and Youth Mental Health. She loves working with N2Health to raise awareness of the needs and issues related to health in the Northern Neck region in

Virginia. Minister Byrd constantly educates herself so she can educate others.

One of her favorite scriptures is, “People perish for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6. We know knowledge is power when you use it right.
